  • Brian Bacelieri, Elder

    Next Generation Ministries

Brian Bacelieri has been blessed to see God take a vision, that started in the hearts of a few over 15 years ago, and transform that into what is now known as Commonwealth City Church.  In that time God has awakened a hunger and a thirst in him to see a unified community of believers set ablaze for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Even more specifically, God has given him a desire to equip and train families to have a big view of God and the gospel for the sake of raising the next generation of passionate Christ followers.  Brian is married to his lovely wife, Paige, and their quiver has been filled with four children: Elijah, Eliana, Elora, and Elise.  In addition to serving the local church, he enjoys the outdoors, playing basketball, and woodworking, as well as a good home reno project.

He has a passion to serve God by seeing where God is at work and joining Him there.  Steve currently serves Christ in marketplace ministry through real estate investing and business. He is an advocate for missional living,  authentic community and serving the Body of Christ.

  • Adam Braun, Elder

    Family Groups

Biblical community is a mighty force in the hands of a sovereign, good God. In Adam, God replaced a heart of stone with a heart of flesh through the faithful gospel witness of a group of college friends. In him also, God fanned into flame a desire for Christ's kingdom, a love of Christ's name, a hunger for Christ's word, all through the fellowship of a Christ-treasuring church family that would eventually be called "Commonwealth City Church." Because of this, Adam yearns that all would know the inexpressible joys of communion with Christ as part of a Biblical community. As an elder, he oversees Commonwealth's Family Groups, which aim to be such a community living out the Great Commission, thriving by the power of the Holy Spirit. He and his amazing wife Ashley have four children: Oliviah, David, Sophia, and Tessah.

  • Trey Sexton, Pastoral Assistant

Trey came to faith during his freshman year of college, where the Lord also called him to ministry. While being raised in Central Kentucky and a graduate of UK, his heart is to see students and young adults raised up and sent out on mission both locally and globally. Trey also serves as our Communication and Production Director while pursuing a Masters of Applied Theology from Grimke Seminary. He lives here in Lexington with his wife, Emily.

  • Kaylin Clark, City Kids Ministry Coordinator

Kaylin met her husband, Blake, in college during a mission trip to Haiti and they have been married since 2018. She has always had a heart for children and after having her daughter in 2020 her passion to raise the next generation knowing the love of God grew even more. Kaylin graduated from the University of Kentucky with a business management degree and a minor in graphic design and is currently pursuing her Masters in Teaching through the University of the Cumberlands.

  • Bekah Justice, Women's Ministry Coordinator

Bekah came to faith in Jesus when she was six years old. Being raised in the Church was foundational for her but it wasn’t till 2019 that she began to seek Jesus with her whole heart. Through that experience, He’s walked Bekah through deep healing and placed a desire to share her life intentionally through Women’s Ministry. Since she was young, there's been a passion for children, so she serves as a preschool mentor at a non-profit school in Lawrenceburg, KY. In her free time, Bekah enjoys hiking at Red River Gorge and loves coffee with friends.
